Pico Maccario Barolo DOCG Cannubi 2019 is a standout expression from one of Barolo’s most celebrated single vineyards. Cannubi has long been regarded as a benchmark cru in Piemonte, admired for producing wines of finesse, depth, and longevity, and this vintage lives up to that reputation with confidence.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, it shows a beautiful ruby-red color that hints at both freshness and concentration. The nose opens with layers of cherry, tobacco, and dark chocolate, creating an aromatic profile that feels classic and inviting. On the palate, the wine delivers impressive intensity and depth, balanced by a strong structure and harmonious tannins. It has the kind of backbone that promises excellent aging potential, allowing the wine to evolve beautifully over the coming years while gaining further complexity and polish.

Viininvalmistus
The grapes come from the Cannubi single vineyard in Piemonte, a historic site known for its exceptional terroir and ability to produce some of the region’s finest Barolo wines. The fruit is hand-harvested, then vinified using traditional methods, preserving the character of the vineyard and the integrity of the Nebbiolo grape. The wine is matured for 18 months in French 500-liter oak barrels, followed by 12 months of bottle aging before release.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This is a natural match for rich dishes such as braised beef, osso buco, game, truffle pasta, or aged hard cheeses. Serve it at around 16–18°C to bring out its aroma and structure. Decanting is recommended, especially in its youth, to help the wine open up and show its full aromatic complexity.
