Quilceda Creek CVR Red 2015

Quilceda Creek CVR Red 2015 is a powerful yet polished Washington red built around Cabernet Sauvignon, showcasing the estate’s signature precision and uncompromising quality. CVR, short for both “C’est Vin Rouge” and “Columbia Valley Red,” reflects its Bordeaux-inspired style and deep connection to Washington’s most acclaimed vineyards.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, this wine typically shows a deep, inky ruby to garnet color, hinting at its concentration and structure. The nose is generous and layered, with aromas of dark berries, blackcurrant, plum, and subtle notes of spice, cedar, and mineral undertones. On the palate, CVR Red delivers a full-bodied, seamless experience with ripe dark fruit, refined tannins, and a focused, long finish. The French oak aging adds polish and complexity without overshadowing the fruit, giving the wine both immediate appeal and the structure to age gracefully over the next several years.

Viininvalmistus
Quilceda Creek sources fruit from some of Columbia Valley’s most respected sites, where Washington’s warm days, cool nights, and well-drained soils help Cabernet Sauvignon achieve depth, ripeness, and freshness in balance. The grapes are harvested with a strict quality focus, and the wine is then matured for 20 months in 100% French oak barrels, a regimen that adds texture, spice, and age-worthy complexity.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This wine pairs beautifully with rich dishes such as grilled ribeye, roast beef, braised short ribs, venison, or lamb. Serve at around 16–18°C; decanting for 1–2 hours is recommended, especially if drinking young, to allow the aromas and structure to open fully.
