Quintodecimo’s Irpinia Falanghina Via del Campo Magnum 2023 is a standout expression of one of Campania’s most distinctive white grapes. Sourced from a celebrated southern Italian producer known for precision and elegance, it brings together bright freshness, layered fruit, and a distinctly mineral character that reflects the cool, high-altitude vineyards of Irpinia.

In the glass, this Falanghina typically shows a pale straw-yellow colour with lively brilliance. The nose is expressive and refined, offering notes of citrus zest, white flowers, green apple, ripe pear, and subtle herbal and saline nuances. On the palate, it is crisp and vibrant, with juicy orchard fruit, lemony tension, and a clean, mineral-driven finish. The magnum format is especially appealing for preserving freshness and allowing the wine to evolve gracefully over time. While enjoyable young for its energetic charm, it can also gain a little more texture and complexity with a few years of bottle age.

Serve this wine well chilled, ideally around 8–10°C, to highlight its freshness and aromatic lift. It pairs beautifully with seafood, grilled fish, shellfish, light pasta dishes, mozzarella di bufala, and vegetable-based Mediterranean cuisine. Decanting is not usually necessary, though opening it a little before serving can help the aromas unfold, especially from magnum.
