In the glass, this is a deeply colored, concentrated red with the kind of inky depth you would expect from top Napa Cabernet. The nose is highly complex, opening with dark cherry, blueberry, licorice, camphor, violets, and forest floor. The palate is dense and layered, showing dark cherry, blackberry, spice, dark chocolate, pine, crushed stone, and a fresh hint of mint. It is a wine built for the long haul, with the structure and balance to develop beautifully over many years in bottle while already showing plenty of its rock-star personality.

This wine comes from Beckstoffer To Kalon, a historic Napa Valley vineyard first planted in 1868 and now considered one of the region’s greatest Cabernet sites. The vineyard’s reputation is built on exceptional terroir and low-yielding fruit, with Andy Beckstoffer’s stewardship since 1993 helping preserve its focus on top-quality Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. Realm’s Benoit Touquetts crafts the wine from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, with an emphasis on purity, concentration, and aging potential.

Best enjoyed with richly flavored dishes such as dry-aged ribeye, lamb rack, beef tenderloin, truffle pasta, or mushroom-based dishes. Serve at around 16–18°C, and consider decanting for 1–2 hours if drinking young to allow the wine to open fully.
