Realm The Tempest 2019 is a striking Napa Valley red that brings together the plush, generous character of Merlot with the structure and depth of Cabernet Sauvignon. Sourced from cooler vineyard sites across the valley, it offers a refined balance of ripeness, freshness, and precision, making it a standout expression from one of Napa’s most acclaimed modern producers.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, the wine shows a deep garnet hue that hints at its concentration and richness. The nose opens with ripe plum, blackberry, and blackcurrant, layered with inviting notes of coffee, licorice, and dark chocolate. On the palate, The Tempest 2019 is full-bodied and beautifully composed, with silky tannins and fresh acidity giving shape to the wine’s dark fruit core. The finish is long and elegant, and while it is already approachable, it has the depth and balance to evolve gracefully through 2042.

Viininvalmistus
The Tempest 2019 draws fruit from cooler Napa Valley vineyards including Farella in Coombsville, along with Blair and Orchard, while the Cabernet Sauvignon component comes from Houyi Vineyard on Pritchard Hill. These sites contribute freshness, fragrance, and structure, giving the wine both lift and power. Harvested with careful selection and crafted to preserve purity of fruit and texture, the final blend is composed of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This wine pairs beautifully with roasted beef, lamb, braised short ribs, duck, or mushroom-based dishes, as well as hard aged cheeses. Serve at around 16–18°C; decanting for 1–2 hours is recommended if opening young, to allow the aromatics and tannins to fully unwind.
