In the glass, this Pinot Noir shows a vivid, polished ruby color. The nose is highly expressive, with fragrant notes of red and dark cherry, wild berries, floral lift, and a subtle earthy edge. On the palate, it is tightly packed yet beautifully balanced, offering supple fruit, lively acidity, and a firm, well-judged structure. The finish brings in hints of licorice, gravelly earth, and floral nuances, giving the wine a savory, layered feel. While already appealing, it should age gracefully and gain even more complexity over the next several years.

Sourced from Riddle Vineyard on the Sonoma Coast, this wine reflects a cool-climate terroir that brings freshness, tension, and aromatic detail to the Pinot Noir. Rivers-Marie has increased its holdings in the vineyard over time, culminating in this first single-vineyard bottling. The wine was aged in 100% French oak barrels, with 25-35% new oak, adding subtle spice and texture without overpowering the fruit.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This Pinot Noir pairs wonderfully with roasted duck, mushroom risotto, herb-crusted chicken, grilled salmon, or dishes featuring earthy vegetables such as beets and truffles. Serve it slightly cool, ideally around 14-16°C, and consider a short decant of 20-30 minutes if drinking young to help open up its aromatics.
