In the glass, it typically shows a bright garnet hue that hints at its youth while already suggesting complexity. The nose is likely to unfold with layers of red cherry, rose petal, dried herbs, anise, and subtle earthy notes, all framed by the firm, noble character typical of Barolo. On the palate, expect a taut, elegant structure with fine-grained tannins, vibrant acidity, and flavors that move from red berries to licorice, spice, and mineral undertones. This is a wine built for time. While approachable with patience and proper aeration, its real reward comes after a few years in bottle, when the aromatics deepen and the tannins begin to soften. Ruoka & tarjoilu
This Barolo pairs beautifully with rich, savory dishes such as braised beef, slow-cooked lamb, truffle risotto, mushroom dishes, and aged cheeses. Serve at around 16–18°C to allow the aromas and structure to show at their best. Decanting is recommended, especially in its youth, to help open the bouquet and soften the tannins.
