Makuprofiili
In the glass, the wine shows a clear straw-yellow color. The nose opens with white flowers, lemon zest, and hints of exotic fruit, setting the stage for a layered and inviting Chardonnay. On the palate, it reveals notes of white melon, apricot, and ripe pineapple, lifted by subtle tones of flint, honey, and crème brûlée. The acidity is vibrant and elegant, giving the wine a distinctly precise, almost Chablis-like feel despite its Californian generosity. The Chardonnay grapes for Red Shoulder Ranch come from Carneros, a cool-climate region in California known for producing wines with natural freshness and finesse. The fruit is pressed whole cluster and fermented with native yeast in a combination of barrels and stainless steel tanks. The wine then spends eight months aging, with about 40% in new French oak and the remainder in stainless steel, while avoiding malolactic fermentation to preserve its crisp, focused character.

This Chardonnay pairs beautifully with rich seafood dishes, roasted chicken, lobster, scallops, creamy pasta, and lightly spiced Asian cuisine. Serve it well chilled at around 10–12°C. Decanting is not necessary, though a short period in the glass can help open up its aromatics.
