Solaia 2016 300CL

Solaia 2016 in 300cl format is a truly exceptional bottling from one of Tuscany’s most iconic estates. A benchmark Super Tuscan, it combines Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Sangiovese into a wine of remarkable depth, precision, and prestige. First created in 1978, Solaia has long stood among the most celebrated wines in Italy and the world.

In the glass, Solaia 2016 shows a deep, насыщенный ruby color with impressive concentration. The nose is layered and refined, offering blackcurrant, blackberry, dried herbs, cedar, and subtle notes from the oak, all wrapped in a fresh Tuscan character. On the palate, the wine is powerful yet beautifully balanced, with ripe dark fruit, graphite, spice, and an elegant herbal lift. Cabernet Sauvignon leads the structure and flavor profile, while Sangiovese brings a lively line of acidity and Cabernet Franc adds aromatic complexity. This is a wine that can be enjoyed now for its intensity and polish, but it also has the structure and pedigree to age gracefully for decades under ideal conditions.

Viininvalmistus
Solaia comes from the best section of the Tignanello estate in the heart of Tuscany, on a roughly 20-hectare vineyard with a perfect southwest-facing slope. Although the region is traditionally associated with Chianti Classico, Antinori works with international grape varieties here, which is why the wine is classified as Toscana. The grapes are harvested by hand, carefully sorted at the winery, and moved by gravity into conical fermentation tanks. Fermentation is managed to achieve the right balance between tannin structure and fruit intensity, followed by around 18 months of aging in new French oak barrels.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
Solaia 2016 pairs beautifully with grilled bistecca alla Fiorentina, roast lamb, braised short ribs, venison, and rich mushroom-based dishes. It also works well with aged hard cheeses such as Parmigiano Reggiano or Pecorino. Serve at around 16–18°C, and consider decanting for 1–2 hours if drinking young to allow the wine’s aromatics and structure to खुल fully.
