Solengo 2000 Magnum

Solengo 2000 Magnum is a powerful Tuscan Super Tuscan from Argiano, combining Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot, and Sangiovese into a wine of striking depth and finesse. Created by the legendary Dr. Giacomo Tachis, the former chief oenologist behind Sassicaia, it has long been regarded as one of Tuscany’s most coveted modern reds and a benchmark for the style.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, Solengo shows an impenetrable inky-black colour that immediately signals concentration and intensity. The nose is deeply expressive, with layers of dark fruit, cassis, violet, and vanilla, unfolding with remarkable complexity and allure. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and powerful, yet never heavy, with finely integrated tannins and a velvety, almost powdered texture. It combines the structure and sophistication of great Bordeaux with Tuscan richness and dark concentration, and the magnum format supports excellent ageing potential, allowing it to evolve gracefully over many years.

Viininvalmistus
Solengo is produced at Argiano in Tuscany, a renowned estate with strong roots in the Brunello di Montalcino zone. The wine brings together Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot, and Sangiovese, matured for 18 months in French oak barrels to build complexity, polish, and seamless structure.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This is a wine that calls for richly flavoured dishes such as grilled ribeye, lamb with rosemary, braised beef, game, or truffle-based preparations. Serve at around 16-18°C, and decanting for several hours is highly recommended to allow the wine to open fully and show its full aromatic and textural depth.
