Solengo 2021

Solengo 2021 is a standout Super Tuscan from the renowned Argiano estate in Montalcino, blending Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot, and Sangiovese into a wine of remarkable depth and intensity. Originally conceived by legendary oenologist Giacomo Tachis, the creator behind some of Italy’s most iconic wines, Solengo has earned its place among Tuscany’s elite for its seamless balance of Bordeaux elegance and Tuscan power.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, Solengo 2021 shows an impenetrable inky-black color that immediately signals concentration and structure. The nose is highly expressive, with layers of dark fruit, cassis, violet, and vanilla, all unfolding with impressive intensity and precision. The palate is full-bodied and powerful, yet remarkably polished, with fine, well-integrated tannins that give the wine both richness and finesse. It is generous and expansive without ever feeling heavy, and its velvety, dusty tannic texture suggests excellent aging potential over many years.

Viininvalmistus
Solengo is produced from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot, and Sangiovese sourced from Argiano’s Tuscan estate, where the warm climate and varied soils help create a wine with both ripeness and structure. The grapes are harvested with care to preserve freshness and concentration, then vinified and matured for 18 months in French oak barrels to build complexity and refine the tannins.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This is a wine that calls for equally substantial dishes such as grilled or roasted red meats, game, braised short ribs, or rich mushroom-based preparations. It is best served at around 16–18°C, and decanting for at least one to two hours is recommended to allow its aromas and structure to fully open up.
