Spottswoode Estate Cabernet Sauvignon 2019 is a distinguished Napa Valley red that showcases the depth and finesse of one of St. Helena’s most respected estate vineyards. Crafted primarily from Cabernet Sauvignon with small additions of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, it combines concentration, elegance, and remarkable aging potential in a large-format 300cl bottle. The estate has been organically farmed since 1985 and is now certified biodynamic, reflecting a long-standing commitment to sustainable viticulture and quality.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, this Cabernet Sauvignon is typically deep and opaque, with the kind of intense color that hints at its richness and structure. The nose opens with dark berries, cedar, violet, and warm spice, supported by subtle oak notes from extended aging in French barrels. On the palate, it is full-bodied and layered, with ripe black fruit, polished tannins, and a lively seam of acidity that keeps the wine balanced and focused. The blend of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot adds aromatic lift and complexity, while the long finish speaks to both precision and power. This is a wine built for the cellar and should continue to develop beautifully over many years.

Viininvalmistus
The grapes come from Spottswoode’s estate vineyards in St. Helena, Napa Valley, an area known for its excellent sunshine, well-drained soils, and ideal conditions for Cabernet Sauvignon. The estate has been farmed organically for decades and is now biodynamically certified, with careful vineyard management aimed at preserving balance and vitality in the vines. The wine is aged for 20 months in French oak, much of it new, which adds structure, depth, and refined spice to the final blend.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This wine pairs beautifully with classic premium dishes such as grilled ribeye, roast lamb, braised short ribs, or venison. It also works well with aged hard cheeses and richly flavored mushroom dishes. Serve at around 16–18°C, and decant for at least 1–2 hours if drinking young to help the wine खुल fully.
