Makuprofiili
In the glass, it shows a deep ruby color that hints at its concentration and structure. The nose is layered and expressive, with aromas of blackcurrant, black cherry, cedar, tobacco, and warm spice, unfolding gradually with time in the glass. The palate is full-bodied and beautifully balanced, combining rich dark fruit with silky tannins and a vivid thread of freshness. French oak adds nuance and polish rather than dominance, while the long, harmonious finish speaks to both finesse and ageing potential. This is a wine that can be enjoyed now, but will reward cellaring with greater complexity and elegance over time.

Viininvalmistus
The estate fruit comes from Spottswoode’s own vineyards in Napa Valley, where carefully managed site selection and attentive vineyard work help produce grapes of exceptional quality. The blend of Cabernet Sauvignon with smaller amounts of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot adds structure, perfume, and complexity. After fermentation, the wine is matured in French oak barrels to enhance texture, depth, and balance.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This Cabernet Sauvignon pairs wonderfully with grilled ribeye, roast lamb, braised short ribs, or dishes featuring mushrooms and truffle. It also works beautifully with aged hard cheeses. Serve at around 16–18°C, and decant for about one hour if drinking young to allow the aromas and tannins to open fully.
