Spottswoode Estate Cabernet Sauvignon 2021 is a polished expression of Napa Valley at its finest, bringing together depth, precision, and remarkable elegance. Crafted primarily from Cabernet Sauvignon with support from Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, it showcases the distinctive character of Spottswoode’s estate vineyards and the estate’s long-standing commitment to producing classically styled, age-worthy wines.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, the wine shows a deep, nearly black-red color that hints at its concentration and intensity. The nose is beautifully layered, with aromas of blackcurrant, dark cherry, cedar, tobacco, and subtle notes of spice and vanilla. The palate is full-bodied yet impeccably balanced, with ripe fruit framed by vibrant acidity and finely knit tannins. Silky in texture and deeply structured, it delivers both power and refinement, finishing long and persistent. While impressive now, this wine has excellent aging potential and will continue to evolve gracefully over many years.

Viininvalmistus
The grapes come from Spottswoode’s own estate vineyards in Napa Valley, where the site’s warm days, cooling influences, and carefully tended soils contribute to the wine’s depth and finesse. The fruit is harvested with great care, then fermented and aged in French oak barrels, a regimen that helps shape the wine’s complexity, structure, and refined aromatic profile.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This Cabernet Sauvignon pairs beautifully with classic rich dishes such as grilled ribeye, roast lamb, beef tenderloin, braised short ribs, or aged hard cheeses. Serve it at around 16–18°C, and consider decanting for 1–2 hours if opening young, to allow the wine’s aromatics and structure to fully open up.
