Taittinger Comtes de Champagne 1990 is a benchmark vintage Blanc de Blancs from one of Champagne’s most respected houses. Crafted exclusively from Chardonnay sourced from top Grand Cru sites in the Côte des Blancs, it is prized for its remarkable maturity, precision, and layered elegance. Over three decades of aging have transformed this vintage into a collector’s Champagne with both historical significance and superb finesse.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, this mature Champagne shows a luminous golden hue, hinting at its long evolution in bottle. The nose is beautifully complex, with aromas of honey, baked brioche, citrus peel, toasted nuts, and a subtle, refined smokiness. On the palate, it is silky and expansive, combining ripe fruit, chalky minerality, and a creamy mousse that still feels remarkably fresh. The structure remains poised and vibrant, with a long, harmonious finish that carries notes of orchard fruit, toast, and lemon zest. While already at a superb peak, it can continue to hold with grace, though the appeal now lies in its fully developed complexity.

Viininvalmistus
This vintage comes from Chardonnay vines in the Côte des Blancs, a terroir renowned for its chalky soils, bright acidity, and ability to produce Champagne with tension and elegance. The grapes were harvested by hand from selected Grand Cru vineyards, ensuring only the finest fruit was used. Vinification followed the traditional méthode champenoise, with extended bottle aging in the cellar allowing the wine to gain depth, texture, and its signature mature complexity.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
Ideal with oysters, scallops, lobster, truffled poultry, or refined dishes featuring mushrooms and beurre blanc. It also pairs beautifully with aged hard cheeses and light gourmet appetizers. Serve chilled at around 10–12°C, and decanting is generally not recommended, though a gentle opening ahead of service can help the wine fully express its bouquet.
