In the glass, this Champagne shows a luminous golden hue with a steady stream of delicate, persistent bubbles. The nose opens with ripe pear, crisp apple, citrus zest, toasted brioche, and a subtle nutty edge, reflecting both Chardonnay precision and extended ageing on lees. The palate is full-bodied yet beautifully structured, balancing fresh citrus, chalky minerality, and a gentle smoky nuance with a creamy, refined texture. Its long, harmonious finish suggests excellent ageing potential, with the wine capable of developing further complexity over time and drinking well through 2035 under ideal cellar conditions.

Comtes de Champagne is sourced from Grand Cru parcels in the Côte des Blancs, a terroir celebrated for its chalk-rich soils that bring tension, minerality, and precision to Chardonnay. Only the first pressing is used to preserve purity and finesse, and the wine spends more than eight years ageing in Taittinger’s limestone cellars beneath Reims, where slow maturation builds texture and aromatic complexity.

Serve this Champagne at 8–10°C to highlight its freshness and layered character. It makes an elegant aperitif and pairs particularly well with oysters, shellfish, delicate fish dishes, and other refined seafood preparations; decanting is not recommended, as its fine bubbles and subtle aromatic profile are best enjoyed straight from the bottle.
