Taittinger Comtes de Champagne 2008 is one of the house’s most celebrated prestige cuvées, crafted exclusively from Chardonnay sourced from Grand Cru vineyards in the Côte des Blancs. The exceptional 2008 vintage, combined with more than a decade of aging in Taittinger’s historic cellars, has shaped a Champagne of remarkable precision, depth, and elegance.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, it shines with a bright, luminous golden hue and a stream of fine, persistent bubbles. The bouquet is refined and layered, opening with citrus fruit and white flowers before unfolding into notes of toasted nuts, brioche, and subtle hints of vanilla. On the palate, it is beautifully balanced between freshness and richness, with a distinct mineral backbone and a creamy, polished texture. Nuances of ripe orchard fruit and delicate pastry notes add complexity, while the long, graceful finish speaks to both its quality and its ageing potential. This is a Champagne built to evolve further over time, gaining even more depth and nuance.

Viininvalmistus
This Blanc de Blancs is made solely from Chardonnay grown in Grand Cru sites in the Côte des Blancs, a terroir known for its chalk soils and its ability to produce taut, elegant, highly expressive wines. The 2008 harvest benefited from excellent conditions, delivering grapes with exceptional concentration and natural acidity, and the wine was then aged for over ten years in Taittinger’s cellars to develop its signature complexity and finesse.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
Best served chilled at around 8–10°C, this Champagne is superb with oysters, shellfish, caviar, sashimi, and other delicate seafood dishes. It also pairs beautifully with refined poultry preparations or lightly creamy sauces. Decanting is generally not necessary, but allowing it a few minutes in the glass can help reveal its full aromatic detail.
