Taittinger Comtes de Champagne 2013

Taittinger Comtes de Champagne 2013 is one of the house’s most prestigious cuvées, crafted only in exceptional years and made exclusively from Chardonnay grown in the finest Grand Cru sites of the Côte des Blancs. With its long lees aging and focus on first-press juice, it represents a pure, elegant expression of Champagne that combines refinement, mineral drive, and impressive depth.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, this Champagne shows a beautiful straw-yellow hue with very fine, delicate bubbles. The nose is expressive and layered, offering floral notes, chalky minerality, pear, and hints of golden raisins, all framed by a sense of poised freshness. On the palate, Comtes de Champagne 2013 is complex and beautifully balanced, with a sophisticated interplay of ripe fruit, vibrant acidity, and a distinct mineral core. It feels both generous and focused, with a creamy texture and a long, elegant finish. While already impressive, it also has the structure and concentration to develop further with bottle age.

Viininvalmistus
Comtes de Champagne is sourced exclusively from some of the best Grand Cru vineyards in the Côte des Blancs, including Avize, Cramant, and Mesnil-sur-Oger, where the chalk-rich soils give Chardonnay its signature tension and finesse. Only first-press juice is used, and the wine is released after around 10 years of aging, allowing the cuvée to gain complexity, depth, and its hallmark elegance.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This Champagne pairs beautifully with refined dishes such as lobster, scallops, oysters, sashimi, or creamy poultry preparations, as well as aged hard cheeses. Serve chilled at around 8–10°C to preserve its freshness and aromatic precision. Decanting is not necessary, but a few minutes in the glass can help the wine open up if you want to fully appreciate its complexity.
