Taittinger Comtes de Champagne 2014 is one of the great Blanc de Blancs of Champagne, made exclusively from Chardonnay grown on selected Grand Cru sites in the Côte des Blancs. In the glass, it shows a luminous, refined appearance with a persistent and delicate mousse. The nose opens with bright citrus, white peach, and subtle floral notes, before developing more complex layers of brioche, toasted almonds, and a chalky mineral edge that speaks to its terroir. On the palate, the wine is creamy yet tightly focused, with vibrant acidity giving lift and tension to the fruit. Flavours unfold gradually from fresh stone fruit to deeper nutty, lees-driven nuances, finishing long, saline, and beautifully mineral. While already highly expressive, it has the structure and concentration to evolve gracefully over many years, gaining further richness and complexity with bottle age.

Comtes de Champagne 2014 is produced solely from Chardonnay sourced from carefully selected Grand Cru vineyards in the Côte des Blancs, an area celebrated for its chalk-rich soils and ideal conditions for Blanc de Blancs Champagne. The grapes are harvested by hand, ensuring only the best fruit is selected, and the wine spends extended time on lees to develop its signature texture, autolytic complexity, and refined mousse. This meticulous vinification highlights both the precision of the vintage and the elegance of the terroir.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This is a Champagne that shines with refined dishes such as oysters, scallops, lobster, sushi, or delicate poultry preparations, as well as aged hard cheeses like Comté. Serve well chilled, ideally around 8-10°C, to preserve its freshness and aromatic detail. Decanting is generally not necessary, but allowing it a few minutes in the glass can help reveal its layered complexity.
