Tenuta di Arceno Arcanum 2013 is a refined Tuscan red built around Cabernet Franc, supported by Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon for added depth and balance. From a classic cooler vintage, it offers elegance, freshness, and finely honed structure, while 12 months in 80% new French oak adds polish and complexity. Made in the southern reaches of Chianti Classico, it reflects both the historic character of the estate and the sophistication of modern Tuscan winemaking.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, Arcanum 2013 shows a deep, насыщенный ruby color that hints at its concentration and structure. The nose opens with ripe dark berries, black cherry, and plum, layered with sweet vanilla, a touch of sweet mint, white pepper, rose, and honey. The palate is firm yet graceful, with lively acidity giving lift to the dark fruit core. Cabernet Franc’s signature tannins are long, supple, and smooth, carrying notes of herbs, cedar, and mineral detail through the finish. This is a structured wine with excellent aging potential, and it should continue to evolve beautifully over the next 20 years.

Tenuta di Arceno sits in the southernmost part of Chianti Classico in Castelnuovo Berardenga, where vineyards lie between 300 and 500 meters above sea level on varied hillside soils. The estate benefits from cool mountain breezes from the north and warmer winds from the south, creating a range of mesoclimates and vineyard expressions. The grapes for Arcanum are carefully selected from these cru sites and vinified before aging for 12 months in 80% new French oak, giving the wine structure, precision, and a refined oak frame.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This wine pairs beautifully with roasted lamb, grilled beef, venison, braised short ribs, and rich mushroom dishes, as well as aged cheeses. Serve at 16-18°C for the best balance of aroma and texture. Decanting for at least 1 hour is recommended, especially if the wine is enjoyed young, to help open its aromatic layers and soften the tannins.

Tenuta di Arceno is a historic estate in Tuscany with roots dating back to the 16th century. Its name pays tribute to the area’s ancient Etruscan heritage, referencing Arceno’s position near the Ambra and Ombrone rivers, once an important crossroads of civilization. After passing through the Del Taja and Piccolomini families, the estate was acquired in 1994 by Jess Jackson and Barbara Banke of The Jackson Family, bringing it into a portfolio of internationally respected wineries. Today, Tenuta di Arceno is known for its large, diverse estate, meticulous cru selection, and high-quality wines that showcase the character of southern Chianti Classico.
