Tenuta di Arceno Arcanum Tri Vintage brings together three outstanding vintages of one of Tuscany’s most celebrated Cabernet Franc-based wines. Sourced from the estate’s prized L'Apparita and Belvedere blocks, it captures the elegance, depth, and longevity that have made Arcanum a reference point for modern Super Tuscan wine.

Makuprofiili
Arcanum is a deeply coloured red with impressive concentration and polish. On the nose, it offers violet, rose, ripe cherry, raspberry, and dark berry notes, layered with Cabernet Franc’s hallmark herbal lift, along with hints of sage, mint, sweet oregano, spice, and graphite. The palate is generous yet refined, with each vintage showing its own personality: 2012 is powerful and structured, with plum, blueberry, liquorice, and tobacco; 2014 is more restrained and focused, combining red currant, berries, vanilla, and a core of dark fruit and spice; 2016 is especially vibrant and expressive, with cherry, wild strawberry, liquorice, white pepper, and truffle. Across the board, the wine is built for ageing and will continue to evolve beautifully over many years.

Viininvalmistus
Arcanum comes from Tenuta di Arceno’s best Cabernet Franc parcels in the south of Chianti Classico, where sandy clay soils, high-altitude vineyards, and cooling mountain breezes create ideal conditions for precision and aromatic complexity. The estate’s varied exposures and terroirs help preserve freshness while allowing full ripeness and structure. The wine is carefully vinified to highlight Cabernet Franc’s elegance and depth, with the 2014 blend including Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Petit Verdot to balance a challenging vintage.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This is a natural match for slow-roasted lamb, grilled ribeye, venison, truffle dishes, and rich mushroom-based pasta. It also works beautifully with aged hard cheeses. Serve at 16–18°C and, if possible, decant younger bottles or the more structured vintages for 1–2 hours before serving to let the wine open fully.

Tenuta di Arceno is a historic estate in the southern reaches of Chianti Classico, in Castelnuovo Berardenga, where winemaking dates back to the 16th century. The property has passed through influential Italian families, including the Del Taja and Piccolomini, before being acquired in 1994 by Jess Jackson and Barbara Banke of Jackson Family Wines. With around 90 hectares of vineyards spread across 63 cru-designated parcels, Arceno has earned a strong reputation for producing some of Tuscany’s most refined and distinctive wines.
