Tortochot Gevrey-Chambertin Vieilles Vignes 2022 is a polished and expressive Pinot Noir from one of Burgundy’s most respected villages. Sourced from old vines in Gevrey-Chambertin, it combines depth, structure, and finesse, reflecting both the pedigree of the appellation and the character that has made Gevrey-Chambertin famous for generations.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, it shows a beautiful ruby-red colour with inviting clarity. The nose opens with dark cherry and blackcurrant, layered with subtle spice, forest floor, and a refined touch of oak. On the palate, the wine is generous yet poised, with ripe fruit, bright natural acidity, and supple tannins creating a full but elegant frame. The finish is long and lingering, suggesting both immediate appeal and the ability to evolve gracefully over the next 5-7 years. The old-vine fruit gives extra concentration and complexity, while the 2022 vintage brings a fresh, harmonious balance that keeps the wine vibrant and accessible.

Viininvalmistus
This wine comes from old Pinot Noir vines in the Gevrey-Chambertin appellation in Burgundy, where limestone-rich soils and a cool continental climate help preserve freshness while building depth and structure. The grapes are traditionally harvested and vinified with maceration and fermentation methods designed to respect the purity of the fruit. The wine is then matured in French oak barrels, allowing the texture and aromas to integrate naturally without overpowering the terroir expression.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
An excellent match for roast beef, duck, game birds, venison, or earthy mushroom dishes, as well as mature cheeses. Serve at 16-18°C to bring out its aromatic complexity and supple texture. Decanting for 30-60 minutes is recommended if opening young, especially to soften the structure and allow the bouquet to open fully.
