Vérité La Joie 2013

Vérité La Joie 2013 is a powerful, Cabernet Sauvignon-led Bordeaux-inspired red from Sonoma County, crafted in a style that recalls the great wines of Pauillac. In the glass, La Joie 2013 shows a deep, intense color that hints at its concentration and power. The nose is layered and expressive, with graphite, cedar, charcoal, crème de cassis, and a subtle forest-floor character adding both richness and freshness. On the palate, it is full-bodied and beautifully composed, with ripe black fruit, firm tannins, and a long, mineral-tinged finish. The blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot adds nuance and complexity, giving the wine both breadth and precision. La Joie 2013 is sourced from prime sites across Knights Valley, Chalk Hill, and Alexander Valley, regions prized for their varied soils, warm daytime temperatures, and cooling influences that help preserve balance and freshness. The fruit is carefully selected from Vérité’s estate holdings, with each parcel contributing distinct character to the final blend. Winemaking follows a Bordeaux-inspired approach, with Pierre Seillan assembling the cuvée to emphasize structure, aromatic complexity, and long-lived finesse.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This wine is a natural match for ribeye, lamb rack, venison, roasted beef, and dishes with mushrooms or truffle accents. It also pairs beautifully with aged hard cheeses and rich braised meats. Serve at 16–18°C, and decant for at least 1–2 hours, or longer if opened in its youth, to allow the wine’s full aromatic complexity to unfold.
