Wayfarer Estate Pinot Noir Mother Rock 2022 is a beautifully expressive California Pinot Noir that pays tribute to the sandstone-rich soils of the Wayfarer Vineyard. Crafted by winemaker Bibiana González Rave from Pinot Noir clones 37 and Dijon 777, it leans into vivid red fruit while showcasing the polish and depth that have made Wayfarer one of the standout names in American Pinot Noir.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, it shows a deep ruby-red color. The nose is layered and inviting, with fresh strawberries, red cherries, violets, rhubarb, mint, and a subtle earthy note of truffle. On the palate, those aromas carry through alongside raspberries, dark plums, and a finely spiced finish, all wrapped in a wine that feels both generous and precise. The texture is elegant yet concentrated, with enough structure to age gracefully over the coming years. While it is already very charming now, it has the balance and complexity to develop further with bottle time.

Viininvalmistus
This wine comes from Wayfarer Vineyard in California, where sandstone-rich soils play an important role in shaping the character of the fruit. The grapes were harvested and sorted by hand, then fully de-stemmed before pressing. After fermentation, the wine matured for 15 months in French oak barrels, 67% of which were new, adding depth, spice, and refinement without overpowering the Pinot Noir fruit.

A natural match for roasted duck, mushroom risotto, grilled salmon, herb-crusted lamb, or dishes with earthy elements like truffle and wild mushrooms. Serve slightly cool, ideally around 16–18°C, and consider decanting for 30–45 minutes if enjoying it young to help the aromatics open up.
