Wayfarer WF2 Chardonnay 2021

Wayfarer WF2 Chardonnay 2021 is a beautifully made, estate-grown Chardonnay from California’s cool-climate West Sonoma Coast, crafted in very limited quantities for impressive quality and character. Fresh and vibrant yet layered with rich texture, it captures the coastal freshness that has made Wayfarer one of the region’s most exciting names.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, this Chardonnay shows a bright, inviting profile that feels both polished and lively. Aromas of fresh-cut flowers, nectarine, vanilla cream, and ripe pineapple rise from the glass, giving it a fragrant, elegant first impression. On the palate, it is crisp and energetic, with lemon zest leading the way over a beautifully textured mid-palate. The finish is marked by a refreshing saline note, reflecting the coastal influence of its West Sonoma origin. While already expressive now, it has the structure and balance to develop gracefully over the next few years.

Viininvalmistus
WF2 is made exclusively from 100% estate fruit, sourced from Wayfarer’s vineyards on the cool West Sonoma Coast in California. The grapes are hand-harvested at night to preserve freshness, then hand-sorted at the winery before being gently whole-cluster pressed. Fermentation takes place in 10% new French oak barrels, with the same careful attention given to the wine as the estate Chardonnay, and it is aged for 10 months to build texture and complexity while maintaining brightness and finesse.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This Chardonnay pairs beautifully with lobster, roast chicken, buttery seafood, creamy pasta, and dishes with citrus or herb accents. Serve chilled at around 10–12°C, and a brief decant is not necessary, though a little time in the glass will allow the wine’s aromas and texture to open fully.
