Wayfarer WF2 Chardonnay 2022 is a beautifully crafted California Chardonnay that delivers impressive quality in a limited-production format. Made entirely from estate-grown fruit, it captures the character of West Sonoma’s cool coastal vineyards with a style that is both fresh and vibrant, yet richly textured. Inspired by the idea of opening a truly good bottle any day of the week, WF2 offers the same level of care and attention you’d expect from Wayfarer’s flagship wines.

Makuprofiili
Pale golden in the glass, this Chardonnay opens with fragrant aromas of freshly cut flowers, nectarine, vanilla cream, and ripe pineapple. The bouquet feels bright and layered, with a clean coastal energy that gives the wine immediate appeal. On the palate, it is lively and focused, with citrus peel dancing across the tongue before giving way to a generous, textured mouthfeel. The finish is defined by a refreshing saline note, a clear reflection of its seaside origins. While delicious now, the wine has the structure and balance to develop nicely over the next few years.

Viininvalmistus
WF2 is made from 100% estate-grown Chardonnay sourced from Wayfarer’s coastal vineyards in West Sonoma, where cool ocean influence helps preserve freshness and acidity. The grapes are harvested by hand during the cool night hours and hand-sorted at the winery to ensure only the best fruit is used. They are then gently whole-cluster pressed and fermented in 10% new French oak barrels, before maturing for 10 months to build texture and complexity while keeping the wine bright and precise.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
Serve this Chardonnay lightly chilled, ideally around 10–12°C, to allow its aromatic detail and texture to show at their best. It pairs beautifully with roast chicken, grilled fish, shellfish, creamy pastas, and dishes with butter, lemon, or fresh herbs. Decanting is not necessary, though a short period in the glass will help the wine open up.
