Aalto 2019 Dobbeltmagnum

Aalto 2019 Dobbeltmagnum is a striking Ribera del Duero Tempranillo that combines power, precision, and impressive ageing potential. Produced by Bodegas Aalto, it reflects the depth of old-vine fruit and the finesse that has made the producer one of Spain’s most respected modern names. The large-format bottle gives the wine an added edge, allowing it to evolve more slowly and gracefully over time.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, Aalto 2019 shows a deep, dark colour that signals concentration and richness. The nose is expressive and layered, with aromas of ripe black berries, spice, liquorice, roasted coffee, and subtle oak notes that add complexity without overpowering the fruit. The palate is full-bodied and focused, with dense dark fruit, excellent balance, and ripe tannins that give structure and length. The finish is long and harmonious, with the intensity of the vintage supported by freshness and elegance. Thanks to the double magnum format, this wine is particularly well suited to long-term cellaring and will continue to develop beautifully over the years.

Viininvalmistus
Aalto 2019 comes from Castilla y León, specifically the Ribera del Duero area, where old vines and a continental climate help create wines with depth, structure, and character. The grapes are sourced from 40- to 80-year-old vines on leased parcels, along with younger vines from Aalto’s own vineyards in Valladolid, all carefully hand-harvested and sorted to ensure only the best fruit is used. After vinification, the wine matures for 16 months in a combination of new and used French and American oak barrels, adding complexity while preserving the purity of Tempranillo fruit.

This is a wine for hearty dishes such as grilled ribeye, slow-roasted lamb, braised beef, game, or rich mushroom-based cuisine. Serve at 16-18 °C, and decanting is highly recommended to allow the wine to खुल? breathe and reveal its full aromatic depth and structure.
