Aalto Blanco De Parcela 2022

Aalto Blanco de Parcela 2022 is a remarkably rare white wine from one of Spain’s most respected names in premium reds. Made entirely from Verdejo and aged in oak, it marks the first white wine ever produced by Aalto under the guidance of Mariano García, and only a tiny number of bottles were made.

In the glass, this is a deeply expressive white with a generous, polished feel. The nose opens with ripe tropical fruit, citrus, and a delicate nutty note from the oak aging, while the palate is broad, creamy, and intensely flavored, balancing richness with carefully managed alcohol and a clean mineral finish. There is real depth and concentration here, yet the wine remains elegant and well-composed. Its structure and balance suggest good aging potential, where the fruit and oak integration should continue to evolve beautifully over the next few years.

Viininvalmistus
The grapes come from Aalto’s own parcels in Castilla y León, within the D.O. Ribera del Duero area, a region best known for powerful reds but increasingly capable of producing exceptional whites from the right sites. The Verdejo is harvested from carefully selected vineyard plots, then fermented and aged for 9 months in oak barrels before bottling, a vinification approach that adds texture, complexity, and subtle spice to the finished wine.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
Serve this wine lightly chilled, ideally around 10–12°C, to best appreciate its texture and aromatic intensity. It pairs beautifully with rich seafood dishes, roast chicken, creamy pasta, white fish with butter-based sauces, and fine Spanish cuisine such as grilled shellfish or arroz dishes. Decanting is not essential, but a short aeration can help the wine open up if served young.
