Champagne Marguet Ambonnay Blanc Grand Cru 2019 is a precise, terroir-driven expression from one of Champagne’s most prestigious villages. Drawn from the Marguet family’s Grand Cru parcels north of Ambonnay, it combines Chardonnay and Pinot Noir with a low-intervention approach that gives the wine real character, depth, and energy.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, this Champagne shows a fresh, vivid profile with fine bubbles and a poised, concentrated feel. The nose opens with ripe fruit, crisp apple, candied citrus, and a subtle grapefruit edge, bringing both brightness and complexity. On the palate, it is bone-dry and firmly structured, with a direct, mineral-driven style that reflects the quality of Ambonnay’s terroir. The fruit is clean and expressive, balanced by a lightly bitter citrus note and a serious, focused finish. Thanks to its taut structure and restrained dosage, it should develop additional nuance with time in bottle, while remaining vibrant and distinctive.

Viininvalmistus
The grapes come from Marguet family Grand Cru parcels located north of Ambonnay in Champagne, a site known for producing wines with intensity, structure, and depth. Fermentation takes place in used Bordeaux barrels and Taransaud egg-shaped foudres, with no added yeast, and malolactic fermentation is encouraged when it happens naturally. The wine then remains on its lees until July following the harvest, before being blended and bottled with organic sugar and a small amount of yeast for secondary fermentation. It spends at least 42 months on the lees before disgorgement, with no dosage or only a minimal addition, resulting in a very pure and unadorned style.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This Blanc de Blancs-style Champagne pairs beautifully with oysters, sashimi, shellfish, goat’s cheese, or simply elegant seafood dishes where freshness and texture matter. Serve chilled at around 8–10°C. Decanting is not usually necessary, but a brief moment in the glass can help reveal its more layered aromatic side.
