Champagne Marguet Les Bermonts Grand Cru Lieu-dit Ambonnay 2017 is a precise and characterful Champagne from one of the region’s most admired terroirs. Crafted from Grand Cru parcels north of Ambonnay with low-intervention methods, it stands out for its dry, incisive style, fine complexity, and clear sense of place.

In the glass, it shows a bright, lively appearance with a refined mousse. The nose is fresh and intense, unfolding with ripe orchard fruit, crisp apple, light bitter grapefruit, and candied citrus, all framed by a subtle mineral edge. On the palate, the wine is bone-dry and expressive, with a firm, almost chiselled structure that reflects Ambonnay’s quality terroir. The Chardonnay and Pinot Noir blend gives both tension and depth, while the extended lees aging adds texture and nuance. This is a Champagne that can be enjoyed now for its energy and precision, but it also has the structure to develop further with short- to medium-term cellaring.

Viininvalmistus
Les Bermonts is sourced from Marguet family Grand Cru parcels north of Ambonnay in Champagne, an area known for producing wines with concentration, finesse, and strong mineral drive. The wine is fermented with native yeasts in used Bordeaux barrels and Taransaud egg-shaped foudres, with malolactic fermentation encouraged but only used when it occurs naturally in barrel. It remains on lees until July following harvest, then is blended, bottled with organic sugar and a small amount of yeast, and undergoes secondary fermentation for at least 42 months before disgorgement with little or no dosage. The winemaking is low-intervention and uses very little sulfur, resulting in a wine with a more natural, vivid expression than many conventional Champagnes.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This Champagne pairs beautifully with oysters, sashimi, shellfish, roast poultry, or richly textured seafood dishes, as well as aged hard cheeses. Serve chilled at around 8–10°C to best appreciate its tension and aromatic detail. Decanting is not usually necessary, but giving the wine a few minutes in the glass can help it खुल open and show more complexity.
