Deep, dense purple in the glass, this wine already shows a beautiful sense of evolution and aromatic layering. The nose is strikingly perfumed, with notes of blueberries, blackcurrants, jammy raspberries, and darker nuances of creosote and asphalt, all wrapped in a very polished, noble character. On the palate, it is full-bodied and refined, with sweet tannins, a savory fleshy texture, and superb concentration without heaviness. The finish is long and impressive, carrying the wine with calm authority. This is a wine built for the long haul and should continue to drink beautifully for three decades or more.

Viininvalmistus
Château Haut-Brion’s vineyards lie in Pessac, just outside Bordeaux, on gravelly soils that have long helped define the estate’s distinctive style. The grapes are harvested by hand at optimal ripeness and carefully sorted before destemming, with fermentation initiated through gradual temperature increase to preserve purity and balance. The finest lots are then aged in new oak barrels for 20 to 24 months, allowing the wine to gain structure, complexity, and its signature elegance.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
Best served with refined dishes such as roasted lamb, beef tenderloin, game birds, or truffle-rich cuisine. Serve at 16–18°C and decant for a few hours if drinking young, though older bottles should be handled more gently to preserve their full aromatic nuance.

Its history dates back to 1525, and its reputation grew early enough to reach the court of the King of England. Acquired by Clarence Dillon in 1935, the estate entered its modern era with renewed prestige, and it remains one of the most celebrated names in the world of fine wine under the stewardship of the Dillon family.
