Makuprofiili
In the glass, it shows a deep, dense purple-ruby color, hinting at both concentration and structure. The bouquet is expressive and layered, with ripe dark fruit, graphite, cedar, tobacco, and warm spice, unfolding with air into more meaty, mineral, and earthy nuances. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and firmly built, with substantial tannins, excellent depth, and a long, dry finish. The 2003 vintage has a bold, powerful profile that rewards patience, and it should continue to evolve beautifully for many years, gaining complexity and softness with time.

Viininvalmistus
The vineyards of Château Mouton Rothschild sit on the gravelly plateau of Pauillac in the Médoc, where deep, well-draining soils and the nearby Gironde estuary help regulate temperatures and support slow, even ripening. The estate is planted primarily to Cabernet Sauvignon, with Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot playing supporting roles, and the vines are farmed with meticulous attention before selective harvesting and careful vinification preserve the character of each plot and vintage.

This is a wine that calls for rich, flavorful dishes such as roast lamb, beef tenderloin, duck, venison, or truffle-based preparations. Serve it at around 16–18°C, and decant well in advance if opening now to allow the wine to open fully and soften its structure.
