Makuprofiili
Deep garnet-purple in the glass, this vintage opens with vibrant aromas of crushed blackcurrants, blackberries, and redcurrant jelly, gradually layered with candied violets, stewed plums, licorice, black tea, and a hint of dusty earth. The palate is medium-bodied yet impressively structured, with ripe, grainy tannins, bold freshness, and a core of muscular dark fruit that drives toward a long, savory finish with mineral nuance. While already beautifully expressive, it has the concentration and balance to age gracefully for decades, gaining complexity over the next 25 years and beyond.

Viininvalmistus
The estate lies on the deep gravel soils of the Plateau de Mouton in Pauillac, where the warm, free-draining terroir is ideally suited to Cabernet Sauvignon and helps produce wines of intensity, finesse, and ageworthiness. The vineyard is planted at high density and managed with meticulous care, with harvesting and cellar work handled by an expert team; vinification is guided by the character of the vintage, and the final blend is assembled to emphasize structure, aromatic complexity, and the estate’s signature power.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This is a wine built for classic, richly flavored dishes such as grilled ribeye, lamb saddle, venison, duck breast, or roast beef with truffle jus. Serve at 16-18°C and decant for at least 1-2 hours if drinking young, as the wine’s structured tannins and layered aromatics benefit from air.

Château Mouton Rothschild’s modern story began in 1853 when Baron Nathaniel de Rothschild acquired the estate in Pauillac, later transformed into one of the world’s most famous wine properties by Baron Philippe de Rothschild. The estate is renowned for pioneering estate bottling, commissioning original label artwork from major artists, and for its long-awaited promotion to Premier Grand Cru Classé in 1973, a historic recognition of its standing in Bordeaux.
