Château Pontet-Canet 2019 Magnum

Château Pontet-Canet 2019 Magnum is a striking expression of Pauillac, combining power, purity, and precision in a format that underlines its cellar-worthy character. Makuprofiili
In the glass, it shows a deep, dark ruby color that hints at the concentration within. The nose opens with layered aromas of blackcurrant, plum, and a touch of cherry, followed by refined notes of cedar, smoke, herbs, tobacco, vanilla, and dark chocolate from oak maturation. On the palate, the wine is dense and structured yet impressively elegant, with finely woven tannins and vibrant acidity keeping everything fresh and focused. Fruit, earth, and mineral notes unfold in harmony, leading to a long, persistent finish marked by spice, toasted oak, and cocoa. While already highly expressive, this is a wine with outstanding aging potential and will continue to evolve beautifully over the coming decades.

Pontet-Canet’s vineyards lie in Pauillac on Bordeaux’s Left Bank, where gravelly soils and a classic Atlantic-influenced climate help Cabernet-led blends achieve both ripeness and freshness. The estate is farmed biodynamically, with careful attention in the vineyard and meticulous harvesting to preserve purity and balance, followed by vinification designed to highlight the estate’s natural depth, structure, and sense of place.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This is an excellent match for richly flavored dishes such as grilled steak, braised game, or roast lamb, as well as aged cheeses like Comté or Manchego. Serve at 16–18°C, and consider decanting for at least 1–2 hours if drinking young to allow the wine to fully раскры its aromatics and structure.
