Cloudy Bay Pinot Noir 2023 is a beautifully expressive Marlborough red that showcases the elegance and aromatic charm New Zealand Pinot Noir is known for. Sourced from some of the region’s best vineyards, it offers a silky texture, layers of dark red fruit, dried herbs, and subtle smoky oak, reflecting both the purity of Marlborough fruit and Cloudy Bay’s long-standing reputation for finesse.

In the glass, this Pinot Noir shows a bright, inviting ruby hue. The nose opens with smoky notes of plum and black cherry, followed by hints of burnt spices, leather, and savoury dried herbs. On the palate, it is plush and supple at first, then gradually builds in structure with chalky tannins and a layered core of dark red fruit. The finish is long and intense, with smoky oak and spice lingering alongside the wine’s fresh, refined acidity. While approachable now, it should also reward a few years in bottle.
