Domaine Leflaive Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru 2019 is a superb expression of one of Burgundy’s most celebrated white wine sites. Sitting between Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet and Le Montrachet, this Grand Cru combines power, depth, and remarkable finesse, all shaped by Domaine Leflaive’s biodynamic philosophy and long-standing mastery of Chardonnay.

In the glass, it shows a brilliant golden hue that immediately signals both concentration and class. The nose is layered and complex, opening with citrus, baked apple, toasted nuts, and honey, before revealing a clear mineral edge that adds precision and lift. On the palate, the wine is rich and intensely flavored, with a creamy texture balanced by fresh acidity and a long, refined finish marked by butter, vanilla, and wet stone. This is a wine with outstanding aging potential, and it will continue to evolve beautifully over many years, gaining even more depth and nuance.

Bâtard-Montrachet is one of Burgundy’s most prestigious Grand Cru vineyards, prized for its exceptional terroir and ability to produce white wines of both power and elegance. Domaine Leflaive farms the site biodynamically, with careful vineyard work designed to preserve the purity and expression of the land. The wine is made from 100% Chardonnay, fermented naturally, and matured in French oak barrels, with a measured use of new oak to add complexity without masking the wine’s natural balance and finesse.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This Grand Cru pairs beautifully with refined dishes such as lobster, foie gras, truffle-based preparations, and mature cheeses. Serve it at around 12°C for the best expression of its aromatic complexity and structure. Decanting is recommended when the wine is young, especially to allow its layered aromas and texture to open fully.
