Fantini Cinque Autoctoni 23° Edizione is a bold and characterful Italian red that brings together five native grape varieties from different southern regions. Blending Malvasia Nera, Montepulciano, Negroamaro, Primitivo and Sangiovese, it offers a generous, modern style with real depth and plenty of personality. First created as a tribute to Italy’s indigenous grapes, it has become one of Fantini’s most recognisable wines.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, this wine typically shows a deep ruby colour with rich garnet reflections. The nose is full and expressive, offering ripe dark berries, plum, cherry jam and notes of spice, cocoa, vanilla and a touch of Mediterranean herbs. On the palate it is smooth, round and concentrated, with juicy black fruit, supple tannins and a warm, lingering finish that reflects its ripe southern Italian origins. Thanks to its generous structure and balance, it can be enjoyed now but also has enough character to develop further over the next few years.

Viininvalmistus
Cinque Autoctoni is crafted from grapes sourced from selected vineyards in southern Italy, where warm Mediterranean conditions and well-drained soils help the fruit ripen fully while maintaining flavour intensity. The blend is built from carefully harvested native varieties, with each grape contributing a different layer of aroma, structure and richness. Vinification is aimed at preserving fruit purity while building texture and complexity, with separate handling of the varieties before blending and maturation.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This is an ideal match for grilled or roasted meats, rich pasta dishes, braised lamb, mature cheeses and hearty Mediterranean cuisine. Serve it slightly below room temperature, around 16–18°C, to let the fruit and spice come forward without feeling heavy. Decanting for 30 to 60 minutes is recommended, especially if enjoyed young, to open up the aromas and soften the tannins.
