Guido Porro Barbera d'Alba V. S. Caterina 2020 is a vivid, terroir-driven expression of Barbera from the hills of Serralunga d'Alba in Piemonte. It stands out for its combination of ripe fruit, freshness, and finesse, shaped by traditional winemaking and the distinctive soils of one of Barolo’s most admired communes.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, it shows a deep, intense ruby-red color that immediately signals concentration and energy. The nose is generous and inviting, with aromas of juicy cherry, wild berries, and a delicate touch of spice. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied with plenty of ripe fruit, bright acidity, and a well-balanced structure. Fine tannins support a long, elegant finish, while the vibrant freshness keeps the wine lively and highly food-friendly. It can be enjoyed now, but it also has the potential to develop gracefully over the next few years.

Viininvalmistus
This Barbera comes from Serralunga d'Alba, where the local soils and microclimate help give the wine depth, structure, and complexity. Fermentation is carried out in stainless steel to preserve freshness and pure fruit character, followed by ageing in large old Slavonian oak casks, which add subtle refinement without masking the varietal expression.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This is an excellent partner for classic Italian dishes such as pasta with meat sauce, grilled meats, roast chicken, and aged cheeses. Serve it slightly cool, ideally around 16–18°C, and there is no need to decant unless you want to open it up for a bit more nuance.
