Maçanita Tinto Reserva 2020 is a polished red from the Douro Valley that brings together richness, structure, and a distinctly Portuguese sense of place. Crafted from Touriga Nacional, it balances deep fruit concentration with the elegance of French oak, reflecting the modern yet tradition-driven style that has made Maçanita one of the most exciting names in the region.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, this Reserva shows a deep ruby to garnet colour, hinting at its concentration and depth. The nose opens with dark berries such as blackcurrant and cherry, layered with subtle vanilla, spice, and a gentle toasted note from oak ageing. On the palate it is full-bodied and expressive, with ripe fruit, firm yet well-integrated tannins, and a long, savoury finish. The wine’s structure gives it strong ageing potential, allowing the fruit and oak to knit together further over time. With a few years in bottle, it is likely to gain additional complexity, softness, and harmony.

Viininvalmistus
Sourced from the Douro, one of Portugal’s most historic and demanding wine regions, this wine draws its character from steep vineyards and the schist-driven soils that help produce concentrated, age-worthy reds. The grapes are carefully selected and handled with a focus on quality, combining traditional winemaking sensibilities with a modern approach. After fermentation, the wine is matured in French oak barrels to add spice, texture, and refinement while preserving the freshness of the fruit.

Serve at 16–18°C, and consider decanting for about 30–60 minutes to allow the aromas and tannins to open fully.
