Ridge Vineyards Grenache Blanc 2023

Ridge Vineyards’ Grenache Blanc 2023 is a welcome and exciting addition from one of California’s most respected names in premium winemaking. Sourced from selected Paso Robles sites and inspired by the great white Rhône wines, it brings together Grenache Blanc with Picpoul and Roussanne in a style that balances richness, freshness, and mineral precision.

In the glass, the wine shows a bright golden hue, hinting at its ripeness and depth. The nose is open and generous, with tropical fruit lifted by a fresh, stony mineral edge that keeps everything feeling vibrant and clean. On the palate, it combines juicy, mature fruit with a lively mineral backbone, creating a wine that feels both complex and refreshing. The blend adds texture and nuance, while the careful use of different aging vessels helps shape balance and length. This is a wine that can be enjoyed now for its energy and charm, but it should also hold well over the next few years as it gains additional complexity.

Viininvalmistus
The grapes were harvested in October at full ripeness from selected vineyards in Paso Robles, an area well known for Rhône-style expressions in California. The fruit was pressed as whole clusters upon arrival at the winery, and fermentation took place with native yeasts to preserve site character and natural expression. The wine was then aged for 10 months in a combination of American oak, amphora, and stainless steel to build texture while maintaining freshness and balance.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This Grenache Blanc works beautifully with grilled fish, shellfish, roast chicken, creamy pasta dishes, and Mediterranean-inspired cuisine. It also pairs well with dishes that have a touch of spice or herbs, such as ceviche, saffron risotto, or roast vegetables. Serve chilled at around 10-12°C, and decanting is not necessary, though a short period in the glass will help раскрыve its aromatic profile.
