This Artistic Edition giftbox, designed by Yayoi Kusama, adds a striking collector’s appeal to an already exceptional cuvée, making it as memorable to give as it is to drink. First launched in 1972, La Grande Dame stands as a tribute to Madame Clicquot’s legacy of innovation and excellence.

In the glass, La Grande Dame 2012 shows a beautiful golden colour with an elegant shimmer. The nose opens with white flowers such as jasmine, honeysuckle and vine blossom, followed by fresh notes of apple, pear and peach. On the palate, the wine is refined and silky, with layers of fresh almond and frangipane leading into more complex nuances of dried apricot, hazelnut, honey and candy. The structure is graceful yet expressive, with the depth and balance to age beautifully for more than 15 years.

La Grande Dame 2012 is built around 90% Pinot Noir and 10% Chardonnay, sourced from six Grand Cru vineyards in Champagne. The focus on Pinot Noir reflects Veuve Clicquot’s long-standing commitment to this grape and to the character of the region’s best terroirs. The wine is crafted as a Brut at 6 g/l, with vinification designed to preserve precision, freshness and complexity.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This Champagne pairs beautifully with refined dishes such as scallops, lobster, poultry, sushi, truffle risotto or rich seafood preparations. Serve chilled at 10–12°C, and if possible, allow it a brief time in the glass to open up. Decanting is generally not necessary, though a little air may help reveal its more complex aromas.
