Veuve La Grande Dame Artistic Edition 2012 is the top expression of Veuve Clicquot’s Vintage Champagne range, crafted to showcase the house’s mastery of Pinot Noir-led cuvées from Grand Cru terroirs. This special Blanc edition is presented in a striking limited design by Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama, turning the iconic polka dot motif into champagne bubbles for a collector-worthy release. As a vintage from a highly regarded year, it combines prestige, artistry, and the signature elegance of La Grande Dame.

In the glass, it shows a luminous light golden colour with a refined sheen. The bouquet opens with delicate white flowers such as jasmine, honeysuckle, and vine blossom, followed by fresh layers of apple, pear, and peach. On the palate, the wine is silky and beautifully textured, with notes of fresh almond and frangipane giving way to more complex aromas of dried apricot, hazelnut, honey, and confectionery sweetness. It has the poise and structure expected of a fine vintage Champagne, with the concentration and balance to develop gracefully over time.

La Grande Dame is built around Pinot Noir from some of Champagne’s finest Grand Cru vineyards, complemented by Chardonnay for finesse and lift. The 2012 vintage was selected for this artistic limited edition, reflecting the house’s practice of releasing special Blanc editions only in exceptional years. Ruoka & tarjoilu
Serve well chilled, ideally around 8-10°C, to preserve its freshness and aromatic detail. It pairs beautifully with refined dishes such as scallops, lobster, sushi, poached poultry, truffle risotto, or mild creamy cheeses. Decanting is generally not necessary, but a short opening in the glass can help the more nuanced aromas unfold.
