Château de Beaucastel Châteauneuf-du-Pape 2012 Magnum is a striking expression of one of the Rhône Valley’s most celebrated estates, offered here in a format that makes it even more impressive at the table. Combining power, structure, and finesse, this vintage reflects Beaucastel’s classic style and long-standing reputation for producing some of the appellation’s most revered wines. With a heritage dating back to 1549, it carries both historical depth and undeniable prestige.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, the wine shows a deep ruby-red colour with excellent concentration. The nose is layered and inviting, unfolding with dark berries, black cherry, warm spices, herbs, and a subtle leathery note that adds complexity. On the palate, it is full-bodied and generous, with flavours of black pepper, ripe dark fruit, dried herbs, and a touch of chocolate. The structure is balanced and refined, leading to a long, elegant finish. This is a wine with excellent aging potential and should continue to develop beautifully over time, especially in magnum format.

Viininvalmistus
Châteauneuf-du-Pape is defined by its sun-drenched, stony terroir, where the vines benefit from warm Mediterranean conditions and the cooling influence of the Mistral wind. Château de Beaucastel is known for its traditional and meticulous approach, with careful vineyard work and thoughtful harvesting to preserve fruit quality. The wine is produced from a classic Rhône blend of Grenache, Mourvèdre, Syrah, and Cinsault, vinified to capture both power and elegance while allowing the character of the vintage to shine through.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This wine is an excellent match for rich, flavourful dishes such as braised lamb, roast game, grilled steak, or slow-cooked beef. It also pairs well with mature cheeses and a well-composed charcuterie board. Serve at around 16–18°C, and consider decanting for at least 1 to 2 hours, especially if enjoyed young, to allow the aromas and texture to fully open.
