Château de Beaucastel Châteauneuf-du-Pape 2019 is a benchmark wine from one of the Rhône Valley’s most respected estates. Crafted from all 13 permitted grape varieties in the appellation, with Mourvèdre and Grenache leading the blend, it captures both the power and refinement that have made Beaucastel a historic reference point in southern France.

In the glass, it shows a deep, concentrated ruby-garnet color that hints at its intensity. The nose is layered and expressive, with ripe plum, blackberry, black cherry, pepper, licorice, and the classic herbal notes of garrigue that evoke the sun-drenched Rhône landscape. On the palate, the wine is rich, structured, and beautifully balanced, combining generous dark fruit with spice, earth, and a silky yet firm tannic frame. It has excellent depth and persistence, and while already impressive now, it has the balance and concentration to evolve gracefully over many years, gaining further complexity and nuance with cellar time.

Viininvalmistus
Château de Beaucastel is located in the northern part of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, where the soils are typically covered with the region’s famous rounded stones, helping to retain heat and support optimal ripening. The 2019 vintage benefited from very ripe, healthy fruit, and the estate’s traditional approach favors hand-harvesting and careful parcel selection. Vinification is carried out with a strong respect for the individual grape varieties, including fermentation and aging designed to preserve structure, aromatic detail, and the estate’s signature balance.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This is a natural match for slow-roasted lamb, grilled beef, duck confit, venison, or hearty dishes with herbs and olives. It also works beautifully with aged hard cheeses and richly flavored Mediterranean cuisine. Serve at around 16–18°C, and decant for 1–2 hours if drinking young to allow the aromas and texture to open fully.
