Château de Beaucastel Hommage à Jacques Perrin 2007 is one of Châteauneuf-du-Pape’s most distinguished cuvées, created as a tribute to the Perrin family legacy. In the glass, this 2007 vintage shows a deep, concentrated ruby-garnet color that hints at its intensity. The nose is layered and expressive, offering blackberries, cassis, warm spice, leather, smoke, and subtle herbal and floral nuances that add finesse and complexity. On the palate, it is full-bodied and generous, with ripe dark fruit, chocolate, and earthy truffle notes framed by silky, well-integrated tannins. A lively backbone of acidity keeps the wine fresh and balanced, while the mineral character typical of Châteauneuf-du-Pape brings depth and precision. Enjoyable now with air, it also has excellent aging potential and should continue to evolve beautifully for many years.

Viininvalmistus
The wine comes from the southern Rhône, where Beaucastel’s vineyards benefit from the region’s sun-soaked Mediterranean climate, galet-strewn soils, and the cooling influence of the mistral. The blend is dominated by Mourvèdre, supported by Grenache, Syrah, and Cinsault, with fruit typically harvested by hand at optimal ripeness. Vinification is carried out with great care to preserve concentration and purity, followed by élevage that allows the wine’s structure and complexity to unfold while maintaining balance and freshness.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This is a superb match for slow-roasted lamb, game, braised beef, duck, truffle dishes, and richly flavored mushroom cuisine. Serve at around 16–18°C, and decant for 1–2 hours if drinking now to allow the aromatic layers and tannins to open fully.
