Massolino Barbera d'Alba 2025 is a vivid, structured expression of one of Piedmont’s most beloved red grapes. Made entirely from hand-harvested Barbera grown in the hills of Serralunga d’Alba, it combines freshness, depth, and regional character in a style that has earned international recognition. Barbera has a long history in the region, with early written references dating back to the 17th century, and this wine continues that tradition with precision and authenticity.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, it typically shows a deep ruby-red color with bright, youthful reflections. The nose is generous and expressive, offering aromas of ripe red and dark berries, subtle spice, and a clean, fragrant freshness that reflects its stainless-steel élevage. On the palate, it is lively and well-structured, with Barbera’s hallmark natural acidity balancing ripe fruit, smooth texture, and a satisfying sense of energy. The finish is precise and persistent, making it enjoyable young while still showing enough structure to develop well over a few years in bottle.

Viininvalmistus
The grapes come from vineyards in the Cuneo area of Piedmont, where compact grey-yellow sandy soils rich in deposits and a favorable microclimate help Barbera achieve both power and finesse. The fruit is harvested by hand around mid-October, with a strong respect for the environment and local ecosystem. Vinification and maturation take place in stainless steel tanks over 10 to 12 days at a controlled temperature of 32–33°C, a method chosen to preserve the grape’s natural aromas and freshness before a short bottle aging period prior to release.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This is an excellent match for rich pasta dishes, tomato-based sauces, roasted poultry, grilled meats, sausages, and aged cheeses. Serve it slightly cool, ideally around 16–18°C, to bring out its freshness and balance. Decanting is not essential, but a short airing can help the wine open up if enjoyed soon after release.
